In 2022, Tomosumi commemorated the installation of a permanent memorial bench honoring his late father at the University of Washington.

In 2025, he introduced hanami matsuri TOMOSUMI as an annual picnic party to the site where family and friends can congregate and celebrate the cherry blossom bloom.
